Jolly Frog (CLOSED)

Jolly Frog is housed in one of the conserved residential buildings along Neil Road. I first got to know about Jolly Frog through the4moose and had been wanting to pay a visit ever since then.

The interior carried a zen vibe but our wooden benches were too high for comfy. When we were about to move to the al fresco area which was more casual-looking, dark cloud quickly gathered above us which made a clear sign that we should take cover.

Breaded Mushrooms - $8.90

We started our meal with this simple dish - breaded juicy button mushrooms served with wasabi mayonnaise. The wasabi mayonnaise added a kick to the dish.

Creamy Salmon with Green Peppercorn - $15.90

Fettuccine paste in cream sauce, came with generous serving of sautéed salmon chunks and pickled green peppercorns. The taste of the salsom seemed to have been dulled by the cream sauce.

Grilled Cod Wrapped in Bacon - $19.90

This dish had everything that I love - grilled cod fillet, bacon and asparagus. The mango mayonnaise just whetted my appetite even more.

I managed to hold back my fork and took a second shot of my main before it was reduced to nothing-ness.

Our meal ended with a high note, as one of the wait staff presented to us this complimentary BBQ dish, much to our pleasant surprise. Unfortunately we were already quite filled by then.

Apart from main courses, there are so many other dishes I want to try, say their eggs benedict. I foresee there will be another visit soon.

This is probably a little late, to help you thank and reward your deserving mum, bring her down to Jolly Frog today and she will get to enjoy her breakfast or main course for FREE.

As today is a special day for all mothers, Amasou-Umasou herein would like to wish them a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.
