Shuang Yuan (CLOSED)
Located at the convenience of Bugis Junction and National Library (which I frequent), Liang Seah Street is one definite solution whenever my carving for simple comfort food calls - Ah Chew Desserts, Phin's Steakhouse, just to name a few.
雙圓麵 - $6.90
Any dish which carries the eatery's name must be the house specialty, my instinct told me.
The noodle was well cooked, didn't fall onto the mushy nor clumpy side. It came with 3 marbled pork slices and 2 pork balls. Made from the freshest lean pork, these 2 meat balls were springy and full of flavours.
豬扒飯 - $6.90
While it's common to find curry katsu don in any Japanese restaurant, it is something new for me to have pork cutlet without curry.
多春魚 - $5.90
Shishamo or pregnant fish is one of my favourite fish. Packed with eggs, it's best to have it grilled or breaded like this.
It's rich in protein too.
Quote 'HungryGoWhere' to get your second main at 50% off. Other promotions include $1 can drink during lunch hours.
Did I mention that there is no service charge and GST?
As they are currently fine-tuning their menu, I will be back for more once the new dishes are up.
