Blu Jaz Café

Last week some of my colleagues and I went to Children Little Museum at the heart of Kampong Glam and stopped by Blu Jaz Café for lunch.

Talking about this place, besides the rich Malay heritage the early Malay settlements have left behind, Haji Lane and Bali Lane which are just a short walk away from Arab Street have no doubt become a hotspot where youngsters flock to for indie labels, vintage garments and quirky cafés among other things. It's also a great alternative to the already over-crowded Orchard Road shopping strip. And Blu Jaz Café is located at the end of Bali Lane.

My colleagues chose the two popular lunch sets.

Sirloin Steak with Red Wine Sauce - $12

Grilled Chicken with Custard-Mayo Sauce - $10

Together with the main course, each set comes with one tomato soup, dessert and a cup of coffee/tea. Prices are inclusive of GST.

Dessert from the set, a delightful sweet treat for your coffee or tea.

Grilled Seafood Combo - $14.90

Being a fish lover myself, this fishy dish was not to be missed. Presentation wise it might just need some improvements, the ingredients used nevertheless were quite fresh. I liked my salmon fillet which was succulent and tasty.

I was totally sold.
