Coffee, Photography, Sake - these three words roughly sum up what you can expect at Shots Café, and probably what its owner, Mr. Matthew Edward Loh is passionate about in life.
Located at the cross junction of Club Street and Ann Siang Road, is this little espresso bar where you can take a back seat to watch the world go by while sipping away your cup of freshly brewed coffee.
I was attracted by the name Velvet that I had it twice on two separate occasions - first time the hot version ($4.90) and second time cold ($5.20).
True to its name, milk was made foamy to give a velvet-like texture, just like what you may see on your cuppa of cappuccino.
Do remember to wipe off your 'moustache' after your drink.
My companion chose Cold Americano ($4.90). I told her coffee could be better enjoyed when served hot and she agreed.
Their Signature Tiramizu ($8.50) I tried was very moist but rather mild in taste. I would prefer it to be sweeter with stronger flavours.
If you share the same passion in photography with the café's owner, then help yourself with the many photography magazines here prepared specially for your reading pleasure.
And folks, now there is another reason for you to hit Shots café today - REFLECTIONS, the light of Israel and Jordan, an photographic exhibition comprising 30 pieces of Mr. Loh's works, through which he hopes to showcase a different and peaceful face of Israel, a land often misunderstood by many. While admission is free, this exhibition is on through 29th this month only.
