My Favorite Fruit!

Okay, I actually can't decide whether I like these or durians more. But on to my point, I promise that grapes will never be the same after you've tried those from Kyoho. They're pricey and I can only afford to indulge in these a couple of times a year, but they're definitely worth it.

These Concord-like cross grapes, hailing from Japan, are also cultivated in several other countries like Korea and Taiwan today. But those grown in Japan are unbeatable, you've simply got to try it from yourself!

I absolutely adore the firm and superbly juicy flesh, whose taste really reminds me of Japanese grape jelly. Dark-purplish in color, every grape delivers a burst of intense flavor and sweetness. These grapes are so good, it's hard to believe that they're full of antioxidants beneficial to your health! It's best to peel the slippery skins before indulging- they're traditionally not consumed, as they are slightly bitter in taste. Do also note that these grapes should only be washed right before being eaten.

Kyoho grapes are sold in Istean Scotts' supermarket, and sometimes at Cold Storage.
