My apologies for the lack of updates lately. Life has been rather busy after the Lunar New Year and I'm currently abroad for work, all I have to work with is this long overdue post of mine.
I had a dinner at the Central Outlet of Watami a couple of months ago and wasn't at all impressed.
First was a hotplate of charred Hotate Butter Yaki ($7.80). Boo~.
Our Sapporo Miso Ramen ($10.80) was not too bad, but not great either.
Hotplate Gyoza ($7.80) was a little pricey in my opinion. For the same price it could usually get me one more gyoza elsewhere.
The only dish I liked was probably my Seafood & Chicken Kamameshi($11.80), which provided some cooking fun for me who can barely cookwell.
Food and service issues aside, the untolerable noise level during dinner time ruined our dining experience as a whole. Watami might just be a fine/affordable answer to your cravings for Japanese food, but if you are looking for beyond just the pleasure to the palate, need not look too far and you will be able to find one elsewhere.
