A new coffee joint has opened its doors this Tuesday, by a loving couple Dennis and Jia Min (formerly from Papa Palheta/Loysel's Toy). The name Nylon is probably the combined abbreviation for New York and London where the couple once worked and found their passions in coffee through the many café-crawling experiences back there.
No food served here, only honest coffee.
You can also find some coffee-related retails here. This one above has got nearly every visitor fascinated.
The houseblend El Primero is a mix of Brazilian Fazenda Ambiental Fortaleza and Peruvian El Guabo ($16.5 per bag). The blend in my cup of latte (5oz cup) was bright and sweet even without any added sugar. Quite chocolatey as well. While I didn't quite taste the fruity acidity expected of Brazilian beans (too much milk?), its long toffee finish was the most memorable of this cup.
Latte in 3oz cup would be a better option if you like it stronger.
Also there with me that afternnon was Shinhao (of Jewel Coffee) who enjoyed a cup of iced coffee.
Oh, Dennis secretly revealed that this very weathered-looking wall side table you see here was once a railway sleeper. No prize for guessing where it was taken from.
Super like their quirky Englishman logo.
