Located in the heart of Little India, Steam Sia is a casual bistro that serves old school local dishes, while mesmerizing diners with charm of the good old days. From the kacang puteh stand loaded with vintage toys, to that wooden TV box, to the many antique objects and knick knacks that scattered around the place, there are sure things that help bring your childhood memories back flooding in.
The helpful owner was quick to recommend their signature Classic Tom Yum Spaghetti with Seafood ($16.90) while I was at a loss what to have. Decent enough, the tom yam flavour on the al dente spaghetti was very intense and sour, in a good way.
Signature Poached Salmon ($18.90) on the other hand was quite disappointing. Salmon fillet was dry and over-cooked.
Anyone bathed in this before?
I remember seeing one of these in my grandpa's wardrobe.
I will come back not only to try their famous Nonya Chicken Curry , but also the ambience ideal for my small group gatherings.
