Thai Accent @ VivoCity, Antoinette @ Palais, Takumi @ Keppel Bay, The Landing Point @ Fullerton Bay Hotel, Pollen @ Gardens by the bay

Friends in my opinion are the second most important after family. In life, it is really hard to find a group of friends who share what you like, your beliefs. They love you when others don’t, stand by you when people don't. Laugh with you and laugh at you knowing that you will not get angry. They continue hanging out together even when you have nothing more to talk about and still look forward to the next outing or drinking session, breakfast or lunch or dinner. Friends love you for who you are and I am glad I have found you guys....

Friday Lunch, Pearly popped by for a visit at Vivocity to visit the new shops - Lowry's farm, MDS, Costa Cafe. We picked Thai Accent for our lunch place as Pearly and Liteng have not tried it before.

Birthday Celebration for Andrea and Huifan @ Antoinette

Special thanks to Huifan who generously treated us to the sumptuous dinner. Huifan has been a dear friend to Diane and myself since Ngee Ann Poly days. Never once have I seen her flare up, get angry or throw tantrums. She is always patient and accommodative with us. Lynda and Andrea are another two dear friends whom I met during my days at IRAS. I miss those days when we would visit Singapore Pool outlets during World Cup season and lunch in during lunch time to catch the matches. Lynda would always buy new branded bags and amaze us everytime, inspriring us to be like her!! keke..

Hightea with Abigail

Friendship with Abigail is really special. We were brought together by a wrong person...but I thank her for bringing Abigail into my life. I remember the first time I met Abigail. It was at her birthday lunch organized by Sock Leng (someone whom I have come a long way with too). To me this "ABC" just wasn't as smart as she looked. Haha! But she was real, straight, humorous, and nothing seemed to matter to her. She was always carefree. Unfortunately, the time we spent together was short lived. Abigail has moved on to greener pastures and I wish her nothing but the best. I hope we can still continue to meet up often!

Laughing sheepishly cos she is late!

Hightea set $42++ each

The ever photogenic Abigail

The Landing Point serves TWG tea and you  to try out as many flavours of tea as you want.

Birthday Dinner for Louise @ Pollen @ Gardens By The Bay

Louise was introduced to us by Mako but it felt like we had known each other for a long time. The very first time I met Pik Ling and Louise was at CUT @ MBC. Louise was chatty the first time we met but I had not exchanged even a sentence with Pik Ling that night. I cannot recall under what circumstances that we got closer.

As for Adeline and Mako, they were transferred from other departments to our department. Sad to say, we didn't click instantly as we all had our own peculiarities. We do not accept strangers easily but somehow friendship is ironic.  I have forgotten the process.  Then of cos there's Karen whom I got to know through Mako.

These are people I call my friends and I am grateful. I give thanks to GOD for letting us into each other's lives. We have been together on holiday trips which allowed us to know each other better. I hope that one day, even if we are not working together we will always be good friends like today.

Too much thought.. let's move on to food!!

The group photo is missing Karen who is all the way in Shanghai having dinner with my Hub and his friends! Hope she is having as much fun over there as we are over here.

Trip to Japan – Scallop sashimi top with sea urchin

Squid Risotto – The marshmallow look alike are actually squids, the rice are the little black ones therefore for ladies who are on diet can safely consume the whole dish without guilt.

Venison Tar

Cod Fish

Rack of Lamb

Tenderloin

Refresher between dishes – Passion fruit cheese cake

Honeycomb Koyle Camenere

CEMEX Chocolate

Coffee & Cognac – We wanna eat the bowl too! It looks like Meringue!!
