Monday is the day I dread the most in the whole week. But this Monday, Mako made my day!
As Louise is on leave till this Thursday, we decided to try out this new restaurant in Tras Street call Brasserie Gavroche. Brasserie Gavroche took over the location of Table 66 and was opened by the ex-chef of St Regis. As I am a sucker for brands and labels, I was so looking forward to lunch since 9.30am this morning. For those of you who don’t know me well, I have my own set of belief : Expensive is good. Big is good. If it’s both expensive and big, it’s VERY GOOD. And these are words I firmly stand by.
Brasserie Gavroche is so pretty! Upon walking into the door, I felt like I was in Paris! The wooden bar counter, the lights, the decorations. As they say, pictures speak a thousand words….

Complimentary cheese bread puff
Yummy cheese bread puff
Nicoise Salad $21 – The price of the salad is more on the steep side. It was basically tuna with veggies.
Cute butter container
Steam Mussels in white wine sauce accompanied by fries $38. So totally worth it. We unanimously agreed that this is a must-order item here.
Sirloin $38
Brandade $33 - Cod fish baked with potatoes. The fish was a little fishy and a little too salty for me.
½ Bottle of Pernan $68
The latte that cost $6
Verdict 3.5/5
Total damage for 3: $254
