Maison de Friand

I passed by Isetan Supermarket at Shaw Centre after paying my first visit to Tatsuya :D The “must-try” signs advertising Maison de Friand’s cheesecakes and fruit tart at the entrance caught my attention…
My love for cheesecake outwins that my liking for tarts, so I decided to get an original cheesecake. Each small, 50g piece costs $4.50! Pricey...
This Japanese cheesecake is not light and airy like the soufflé-like variety, but is instead crumbly and has a texture somewhat similar to the Camembert cheesecake from the Hokkaido Fair. It had a nice, well-rounded flavor. However, due to the small size of the cheesecake, I couldn't get enough of it into my mouth at a time to enjoy the melt-in-your-mouth sensation which I love cheesecakes for.
