I am smitten with homegrown soya bean chain Mr Bean's specials for this month. Say hello to the strawberry soya smoothie, blended with real strawberry purée. The drink packs an intense berry burst in every sip, gently rounded off by soya notes.
It's pricier than their other beverages at $3/$3.50 (12oz/16oz), but I'm absolutely hooked- no Gong Cha or Starbucks for me just as long as there's a Mr Bean outlet around. Speaking of which, I love the fact that Mr Bean has colonized practically every neighbourhood in Singapore!

I love Mr Bean's pancakes when they're fresh off the stove. I've always had trouble deciding whether I like blueberry, cheese or red bean version the most, but the strawberry cream cheese variant ($1.80) rules out the competition. Gotta love the juicy strawberry chunks in the filling!
