Thinking where to go for a 2 Days 1 Night short gateaway? Bintan is one of the option, you don't even need to visit the money changer if you are going Bintan...YES...Bintan Resorts only take SGD....is like going to Sentosa but you got your passport chopped.....I love to get my passport chopped..lolz
To go Bintan, you had to take a ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. You can park you car day for $20 per day.
This is the ferry...we would be taking. The ferry is comfortable and clean.
Here we are!!...At the Bintan Resort Terminal. You can choose to pay SGD 4 to pass the immigration with express mode or que up to pass the immigration. The que will take about 30 min. Once you clear the custom, the resort bus will be waiting for you outside the terminal. The journey from the terminal to Nirwana Garden Resort is about 10 min.

We are informed that we can only check in the hotel at 3pm. Kind of sucks because we arrived the resort at 11am. (Indonesia is one hr behind Singapore)....means we had to roam around for 4 hours. We decided to check out the recreation center.
There is alot of activities at the recreation center. The ATV looks fun but it quite expensive 30 min ride for SGD 80, we decide to forgo that and go for archery which is much much cheaper...SGD 9 for 25 arrows. My first time doing archery....archery is fun!
Next....I try shooting Air Riffle Gun...same price as archery....
I canoot look thru the peep hole with one eye.....i canot wink for long lolz......i prefer ancient weapon over modern weapon....

We wanted to try flying fox...but it started to rain...so we went back to the resort for lunch. Lunch at Poolside Restaruant. We had Mee Goreng , Burger and Satay...taste is ok.
After Lunch, we tried asking whether we can check in the room earlier since is already 2pm. We are told room we only can check in at 3pm...hotel policy. So we continue to roam around the resort. We joked that the hotel want us to roam around and spend money so they purposely set their check in time at 3pm...lolz...
Finally is 3pm!!... We are able to check in...and guess what...we are upgraded to a suite room....ok i decided to forgive them for making me roaming around lolz....The suite is big!
After checking in the room, we went to check out the Sea Sport Center. (No photo as we never bring camera out). We wanted to try the Jetski SGD 100 for 30 Mins but is fully booked. I will suggest you to booked the jet ski time slot when you reach the resort. It seems expensive but I think is worth the experience as you can drive your own jet ski here w/o license....which is rare.
In the end, we go for the kayaking SGD 14 per hour.
At night, we went to The Kelong for dinner. The restaurant is like a kelong, ate some seafood there.
Waiting for the shuttle bus to bring us back to hotel, I will suggest you not to roam around when waiting for bus, the shuttle bus is quite small. Once it is full, you had to wait for another 30 min for the next bus. Tips: See bus come...Cheong Up.
Next Morning, sun bathing at the swimming pool side.
There is a table at the lobby, teaching you how to fold animals using towel....I tried folding an elephant...cool...
Lunch at Dino Bistro before taking ferry back to Singapore. Higly recommend their Nachos...super duper yummy.
