Zero Zero

I was searching on the internet where to eat out on a Friday night....when I came across Zero Zero which is under the same group as Tao Restaurant. Having good experience at Tao before, I decided to give Zero Zero a try....Ring Ring I made a reservation.
Here we are !! The grand entrance had a wooden horse welcoming you....the theme of Zero Zero restaunrant is very zen and woody. This place is really well decorated, giving you a very modern feel when you walk into the restaurant. The restuarant is quite empty when we reach....

Similar to her sister Tao, they only serve set meal. You can choose the food you want from each of the catergory. The 5 course dinner is $55++ per pax. Tips: You will get 10% discount if you pay by DBS card.

They also serve brunch at $128++ per pax with free flow of wine or beer and other beverages. However, the choice of food they serve is the same as what we had for dinner. In my opinon, I don't think their brunch menu is very attractive, paying additional $73 for free flow of drinks when the dinner menu is only $55++. Unless you are out to make yourself drunk :P

Before taking your order, the waitor will present the food photo with his ipad so you will know what are you getting into..lolz

The restaurant also had a live band, singing English and Chinese song. We found the presence of the live band a bit wierd. As it does not match the theme of the restauarnt or add any ambeince to the restaurant.

The view is nice, you get to see Clarke Quay Opposite.

Cheers!

Our First course...cold dish...it was good.

2nd course appetiser : Smoked Duck VS Smoked Tuna ....
Winner : Smoked Duck...the smoked duck is very crunchy and flavourful

3rd Course Soup: Prawn Bisque VS Cheese Escargot
Winner : Cheese Escargot...the escargot is very juicy and the combi with cheese make it super tasty

4th Course Main : Rib Eye Steak Vs Pork Collar
Winner : Rib Eye Steak.... The rib eye steak is presented on a hot stone, the steak is very juicy and not over cooked .....but I find the fried garlic on top is bitter.I felt the pork collar is a bit salty but my partner think is good.

5th Course Dessert: Banana Crispy puff vs Vanilia Pod
Winner : Vanila Pod.. the tart is super cripsy ...delicious. The crispy puff remind me of bread papa...but I prefer bread papa lolz....

Overall, the food is hit and misses but the food presentation is definetly pleasing to the eyes.

Verdict : 3.5/ 5
