Lunch on Wednesday was at Shashlik with Pearly and Liteng. The restaurant is located at Far East Shopping Centre. They serve traditional Russian and continental cuisine. The daily set lunch for Wednesday costs only $15 and comprises of a soup, oxtail stew, fruit of the day and tea/coffee. Pearly ordered the set but since Liteng and I don’t fancy oxtail, we ordered from the ala carte menu which costs so much more. We each had a borsch soup $7 (I seem to recall the soup portion being a lot bigger when I was last here with Sock Leng & Abigail few months back), followed by the beef skewer $29. Then the three of us shared a dessert $20. In my opinion, the dessert should cost only $10 but they charge an extra $10 for the “performance” put up by the aunty who prepares the item in front of the guests. |
They are somewhat a little famous now, so Liteng needs to comb her hair nicely.
